Use Of Glyoxylic acid:
Glyoxylic acid is the simplest keto acid (uronic acid), which combines the properties of acid and aldehyde, and is used as an intermediate in varnish raw materials, perfumes, pharmaceuticals, dyes, plastics and household chemicals. It can be used to produce oral penicillin vanillin, ethyl vanillin and allantoin (see 01320). Allantoin is an anti-ulcer drug, and is also an intermediate for some pharmaceutical products and daily chemicals. It can be processed into a micro-efficient liquid fertilizer.
