Description
Trichloroethylene
Trichloroethylene, a compound formed by substituting three hydrogen atoms in an ethylene molecule with chlorine. Hard to dissolve in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and so on. Trichloroethylene is a flammable liquid, which can cause fire and explosion when exposed to open flames and high heat. Trichloroethylene has been used as an analgesic and metal degreaser and as an extractant, bactericide and refrigerant, as well as a clothing dry cleaning agent. Long-term exposure can cause diseases such as trigeminal nerve palsy.
